Institutional working group

Page mise à jour le 27/10/2021

The LIFE Eau&Climat project aims to help local water resource management stakeholders to assess the vulnerability of their territory to climate change and to develop adaptation trajectories and integrate actions/measures into their planning tools and the SAGEs.

We will develop tools that will be accessible to all, but also produce guides and documents on the best conditions for mobilising stakeholders or on the optimal conditions for hydro-climatic modelling.

To ensure that these actions are relevant and coherent with regional and national policies, we have created a group of institutional representatives, the GTI (Groupe de Travail Institutionnel -Institutional Working Group).

COMPOSITION

It includes representatives of the following organisations :

  • Agences de l'eau (Water Agencies, which are State bodies that carry out a mission in the general interest, consisting in managing and preserving water resources and aquatic environments) :  Adour-Garonne, Artois-Picardie, Rhin-Meuse, Loire-Bretagne, Rhône-Méditerranée-Corse and Seine-Normandie ;
  • Offices de l'Eau (Water Offices, in the same way as the Water Agencies but for the French overseas territories) : Martinique, Réunion et Guyane ;
  • Agence de la transition écologique (ADEME – French agency for ecological transition) ;
  • Ministère de la Transition Écologique (Ministry for an Ecological Transition) ;
  • Ministère de l'Agriculture de de l'Alimentation (Ministry of Agriculture and Food) ;
  • Office français de la biodiversité (OFB - French Biodiversity Agency, aims to protect and restore biodiversity in Metropolitan France and its Overseas Territories) ;
  • Chambre d'agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine (public institutions representing all stakeholders in the agricultural, rural and forestry sectors) ;
  • Région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

MISSIONS

This committee will be responsible for validating the results of the project progressively, and for proposing possible modifications with a view to deployment to other SAGEs or other types of management contract or organisations responsible for water management.

MEETINGS

GTI will meet regularly during the project in order that the results, progress and possible sticking points can be presented. The members of this committee can comment and criticise the actions of the project and also advise us:

  • A first virtual meeting was conducted on 15 October 2020, with the aim of presenting the project, its objectives, its actions, the territories and partners involved.
  • A second meeting was organised on 13 April 2021 and provided an opportunity to present the first results of the project: the two tools for diagnosing vulnerabilities and developing local adaptation strategies, developed under action C1.

A meeting will be organised every 6 months, ideally one each year in face-to-face.
