Page mise à jour le 11/06/2025

The Platform for Good Water Practices in South-West France brings together a network of experts and users to address the issue of adapting to the effects of climate change on water. The LIFE Eau&Climat project was the subject of a webinar on 8 April and an article was published about the Traject’eau tool.

Focus on the Best Practices Platform for Water in South-West England

"The Platform for Good Water Practices in the Greater South-West was created as part of the Adour-Garonne Basin Water Agreement in 2020 by the Adour Garonne Basin Committee, the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, the Occitanie region and the French government. It is one of the outcomes of the Agreement's roadmap, which aims to adapt water management in the Greater South-West to the effects of climate change.

The Platform runs an online resource centre aimed at helping water users adapt to climate change by sharing best practices. It regularly publishes feedback, reviews of tools and publications, thematic reports, organises monthly webinars, discussion days, etc.

It monitors developments in France and internationally, calls on its network of experts, mobilises research stakeholders and facilitates the transfer of solutions, particularly in the Adour-Garonne basin, by all means and to all water users.

The Platform regularly organises webinars lasting around an hour: ‘Les Rencontres de la Plateforme’ (Platform Meetings). These aim to highlight the work and achievements of a researcher or key figure and provide an opportunity for discussion on the subject with participants. On 8 April 2025, the guest speaker was Sonia Siauve, innovation project manager at OiEau and coordinator of the LIFE Eau&Climat project. She presented the project and its main results. The webinar was attended by 111 participants.
