On June 1st, 2024, the SMAVD organized two round tables on the theme of the Durance and climate change. These round tables were organized in conjunction with the 5th Fête de la Durance, a public event organized by the SMAVD, which attracts several thousand visitors every year.
The first focused on climate change in the Durance region, what we're seeing today and what we expect to see tomorrow. The second highlighted current adaptation measures and future projects to prepare the region for climate change.
Despite the rain that day, some forty participants attended the round tables, including elected representatives, associations, water professionals and the curious. The roundtables helped to raise awareness among local stakeholders, and highlighted the LIFE Eau&Climat project and the Explore2 approach.
