On Thursday 27 June, the results of the hydrogeological modelling of the Seugne catchment area carried out by EPTB Charente were presented to the Comité de Territoire, at the end of work initiated in 2021 with the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (BRGM).
Undertaken as part of the LIFE Eau&Climat project and co-financed by the Agence de l'Eau Adour-Garonne, this study provides information on the impact on rivers and groundwater :
- Different water use scenarios (current situation, saving, substitution)
- Different climate change scenarios

These results will subsequently be used within the framework of the Seugne Basin Water Management Territory Project (PTGE), as decision-making aids for the development of a strategy to restore quantitative balance and adapt to climate change.
