Traject'Eau, a tool for developing a strategy and trajectories for adapting to climate change

Page mise à jour le 03/03/2025

As part of the ‘Developing decision-making tools’ action of the LIFE Eau&Climat project, Actierra has produced two guides and a web tool to enable local water management stakeholders to plan the adaptation of their territory to climate change. The final version of the web tool, Traject'Eau, is now available.

Actierra has developed two methodological tools for the two main phases of a process to adapt water territories: diagnosis and strategy. These tools have been tested on several SAGEs involved in the project: the Yèvre Auron SAGE and the Sioule SAGE, managed by EP Loire, and the Garonne Valley SAGE, managed by SMEAG.

The Traject'Eau web tool complements the ‘Climate change adaptation strategy for local water management’ guide to drawing up an adaptation strategy. It enables the principles of dynamic planning to be applied to the adaptation strategy for water areas, and is broken down into six main stages, so that progress can be made in a structured way:

  • Stage 1. Framing the project ;
  • Step 2. List and characterise the impact(s) of climate change;
  • Step 3. Define adaptation objectives;
  • Step 4. List and evaluate adaptation actions;
  • Step 5. Building trajectories ;
  • Step 6. Plan the adaptation.

All you need to do to use this web tool is create a user account.
