In recent months, the LIFE Eau&Climat project has been presented at a number of events, including the EGU and Hydroexpo in April and the 103rd Astee congress in June. This was an opportunity to focus on the actions and results of the project.
The EGU, or European Geosciences Union, brings together professionals from the Earth and space sciences. From 14 to 19 April 2024, in Vienna (Austria), the 2024 General Assembly was held, bringing together more than 116 different countries. Among the speakers was Jean-Philippe Vidal, hydro-climatologist at INRAE. Leader of the ‘Strengthening knowledge transfer and exchanges between researchers and managers’ action within the LIFE Eau&Climat project, he presented the white paper ‘Conducting a retrospective and prospective study on water resources’. A guide designed on the format of a book in which you are the hero, the missions are to recover the past evolution of water resources and the second to be able to compose the future of these water resources on the scale of a catchment area.

The third edition of Hydroexpo was held in Lille on 10, 11 and 12 April. Agnès Martin-Cocher, from AQUANOVA, was present to lead a conference on freshwater quality: regulations, innovation and mobilisation of stakeholders. On this last point, Agnès Martin-Cocher presented the LIFE Eau&Climat project and the different types of mobilisation on which OiEau has worked. The Pearl Tree was also presented. It brings together feedback from the partners in the LIFE Eau&Climat project, as well as a toolbox to help set up effective local mobilisations that have been thought through in advance.

In the action 'Facilitating the mobilization of local stakeholder', Anne-Paule Mettoux-Petchimoutou, sociologist at OiEau, was present at the 103rd Astee congress. From 10 to 13 June 2024, 500 participants gathered in Quimper to attend technical sessions, training workshops and discussions on the water and environment professions. Anne-Paule Mettoux-Petchimoutou proposed an edutainment workshop entitled ‘Exchanging and sharing experiences to mobilise local players’. Participants were given the task of creating a mobilisation action based on elements taken from the results of the LIFE Eau&Climat project. The participants had to think about their target audience, the objectives of the mobilisation and the resources required. The workshop was an opportunity to exchange views and share experiences.
